Chinese buyers bought Penthouse at The Rocks for $16.2 million

A three-level penthouse at The Rocks has sold for a hefty $16.2 million to a buyer from China.
Title records show the buyer is Zhang Zetian, but it is unknown whether this is the same Zhang who is the internet sensation known in China as "Sister Milk Tea" and girlfriend of billionaire technology entrepreneur Liu Qiangdong.
Liu, known in English-speaking circles as Richard and ranked the 11th richest person in China on this year's Forbes rich list, is currently renting the Vaucluse waterfront mansion of investment banker Alastair Walton, with his photogenic girlfriend.
The Kann Finch-designed building was completed in 2012, and the four-bedroom , five-bathroom penthouse with Thomas Hamel interiors was listed a year ago with $15 million-plus hopes.
It follows the March sale for $10.5 million of the Archibald penthouse atop the Residence Hyde Park to another buyer from China, Jun Yang.
The Residence high of $17 million was set by the larger penthouse, topped only by the building's larger Sulman penthouse when it sold in 2013 to Chinese billionaire and founder of the shipbuilder Zhouji Group, Shannian Huang.
